The Emergency Department at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) has a great opportunity for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse. In this fast-paced position, the ED RN position provides direct care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialties as required and adjusts nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care. Working well under pressure, our RN's collaborate with other health team members to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care. Our knowledgeable and passionate RN's continuously learn and grow within their roles at NVRH. NVRH has a very busy Emergency Department, RNs must be able to learn quickly and be pro-active team member. Our rural ED has nine beds, a 4-bed mental health support area and sees over 14k patients per year. We prioritize holistic care, ensuring that patients' age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs are met with compassion and proficiency. You will be accountable to the Nursing Director and work closely with the Nursing Supervisor during your shift, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.RN position is to mainly staff our Zone B - New 4 bed mental health support area embedded in our Emergency Department. Must be able to function as an RN in the ED if there are no Psych patients. To join our team, we require a minimum of three years' Emergency Room and or Psych RN experience, with preference given to candidates with Meditech familiarity. Possessing a current Vermont RN or multi state licensure and BCLS and ACLS are required. TNCC is preferred.
