Electrical Engineer III

TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III in Atlanta, GATest & Qualification engineer supporting validation, qualification, troubleshooting and issue analysis for electrical systems, electronic boards and inverter solutions used in elevator applications, especially low- and mid-rise products. This role is an individual contributor.Essential Job FunctionsCreate, prepare and/or apply test plans, test protocols, test cases and qualification activities for electrical systems, electronic boards, inverters, supplied devices and related lift-system interfaces according to defined procedures.Verify specifications and validate functionalities of tested electrical / electronic devices, components, assemblies, inverter solutions and complete lift-system functions within the assigned scope.Prepare and execute tests safely, including sample preparation, instrumentation, fixtures, wiring, firmware/software versions, parameter sets, measurement setup and test environment readiness.Develop, adapt or support test benches, test tools, fixtures, auxiliary devices and measurement setups when needed to perform validation activities.Use laboratory and test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, data-acquisition systems, power supplies and equivalent instrumentation.Ensure personal safety, equipment safety and facility readiness during all test activities, including awareness of high-voltage / high-energy inverter risks, following laboratory / test tower procedures and escalating unsafe conditions immediately.Document test execution, evidence, results, deviations and technical conclusions using global tools such as Jira, X-Ray, Confluence or equivalent test / requirements management systems.Analyze test results, identify deviations, possible design mistakes and improvement opportunities, and support root-cause analysis together with design teams and/or external suppliers.Analyze inverter test results related to motor integration, braking, thermal behavior, EMC, control interfaces, protections and fault conditions.Support test definition and troubleshooting with inverter suppliers when delegated by TKE technical leadership.Generate clear test reports, qualification reports and defect / deviation records for T&Q, design, project and other engineering stakeholders.Support corrective actions, regression testing and re-validation after design changes, supplier changes, filter changes, parameter updates or issue resolution.Support consistency of test execution across locations by following approved procedures, templates, documentation standards and configuration-control practices.Coordinate test preparation needs within the assigned scope, including samples, instrumentation, fixtures, firmware/software versions, parameter sets, resource availability and laboratory / test tower slots.Support integration testing with other clusters, SIT teams, electrical system, motor integration and regional teams when interfaces or complete system functions are involved.Escalate safety concerns, non-compliances, supplier risks, test blockers, technical risks and schedule impacts to the T&Q Team Lead, Inverter Technical Lead or relevant TKE technical authority.TYPICAL DELIVERABLES Test plans, test protocols instrumentation: multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, data-acquisition card / system and equivalent test equipment.Safe handling of power electronics tests and strong safety discipline in laboratory, test tower and equipment-testing environments.EMC, thermal, braking, protection and fault-condition behavior awareness.Structured defect reporting, troubleshooting, technical reporting and root-cause analysis support.Experience with test / requirements management tools such as Jira, X-Ray, Confluence or equivalent.Microsoft Office proficiency in reporting, data handling and EXPERIENCE: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, Industrial Electronics, Industrial Engineering or similar.3-6 years of relevant experience in testing, verification, validation, qualification or engineering support for electrical / electronic products, including inverter, drive, power electronics or industrial test experience.Experience with elevator inverters, industrial drives or supplier qualification is highly valuable.Professional English required, minimum B2 or equivalent; ability to write technical reports and participate in engineering
