Our collaborative approach helps us avoid the last-minute chaos so common in public accounting.We're growing and looking for a Staff Tax Accountant to join our friendly, high-performing tax team.Truly flexible remote workManageable tax-season hours (typically 40–50 hours per week during busy season, not 80–100)Collaborative, in-house approach (no chasing external CPAs)Well-defined career path, and a strong preference for promoting from withinFocus on continuous improvement—we love to embrace better processes and technologyYear-RoundCollaborate with the tax team and accounting team to deliver high-quality tax services to our dental practice clientsCommunicate directly with clients to collect missing information, answer questions, and maintain strong relationshipsOrganize, analyze, and compile client data to support accurate, efficient tax preparationProactively manage your workload, keeping the team informed on progress and pending itemsTax Season (February–April)Prepare individual and business tax returns with accuracy and speedConduct virtual sessions with clients to help complete personal tax organizersHandle up to approximately 200 returns annually (majority during busy season)Meet deadlines without sacrificing qualityOff-SeasonPrepare extended individual and business returnsAssist with updating tax planning documents and projectionsHelp clients plan for upcoming deadlines with mid-year, third-quarter, and year-end tax projectionsStrong client-service mindset: clear communicator, proactive about follow-upBias toward action: you don't wait for assignments—you go get themAbility to self-manage in a fully remote environmentDetail-oriented while maintaining speed and efficiencyComfortable learning and adopting new technologyBachelor's degree in Accounting or related fieldAt least 3 years of tax preparation experience (individual and business returns)CPA license strongly preferredCandidates without a CPA must be actively pursuing it, with at least half of the exams passedExperience in public accounting or multi-client environmentsBase salary: $60,000–$80,000, depending on experience and CPA statusTax season and end-of-year bonuses75% of individual health insurance covered (HSA available)100% vision insuranceShort-term and long-term disability insurance paidUp to 4% 401(k) matchUnlimited PTOFlexible scheduleFully virtual workComputer equipment providedBecker CPA Review costs covered if neededCPE and CPA licensure paidAbout Our CultureWe're not the Big Four.
