Front Desk Agent
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional hospitality and ensuring a memorable experience during their stay. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a passion for hospitality, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and check-in/out of their rooms
- Handle guest inquiries and requests in a friendly and efficient manner
- Manage the front desk operations, including answering phones, responding to emails, and processing payments
- Conduct nightly audits and ensure all guest information is accurate and up-to-date
- Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction through attentive and responsive service
- Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times
- Utilize phone systems and other technology to communicate with guests and internal departments
- Provide exceptional guest services, including directions, recommendations, and resolving any issues that may arise during their stay
- Work collaboratively with other hotel staff to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, services, and policies
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of hotel management principles and practices
- Perform other duties as required to maintain a positive and welcoming environment for our guests
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a front desk role for a minimum 2 years.
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for providing excellent guest experiences
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in phone systems and technology
- Basic knowledge of hotel management principles and practices
- Excellent communication and phone etiquette skills
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
- Bilingual in Spanish is an asset
- A commitment to providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for all guests
- 90% of shift is standing, Bending/kneeling - repeated bending and kneeling required while filing.
- Mobility - must be able to reach all areas of hotel to assist clients
Occasional standing.
- Carrying and lifting supplies up to 50 lbs.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying tasks and schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
