Junior Cloud DevOps Engineer

Job Family :IT Architecture/CloudTravel Required :Up to 10%Clearance Required :Ability to Obtain Public TrustWhat You Will Do:Provide entry-level support for cloud infrastructure, DevOps operations, and application environments under supervision of senior engineersAssist in supporting applications hosted in AWS and/or Azure cloud environmentsSupport Infrastructure as Code (IaC) activities using tools such as Terraform and AnsibleAssist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows for application deploymentsSupport provisioning and configuration of development, test, and production environmentsMonitor application and infrastructure performance using logs and dashboards; assist with issue identification and escalationTroubleshoot basic application, infrastructure, and deployment issues with guidance from senior team membersAssist with containerized application environments (Kubernetes, Docker) and related operational tasksSupport system security and compliance activities, following established best practicesContribute to technical documentation, including SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge articles, consistent with contract expectations for documentation and support functions [Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to support application lifecycle activitiesLearn and apply emerging DevOps tools, cloud technologies, and automation practicesWhat You Will Need:Minimum Two (2) years of relevant IT or software engineering experience.Exposure to cloud or DevOps environments preferred.Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.Educational experience may substitute for some work experience.Ability to work independently with guidance and as part of a team.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt.Strong attention to detail and customer/service-oriented mindset.Basic familiarity with: Cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.Exposure to: Linux and/or Windows environments, Containers (Docker) and basic Kubernetes concepts along with Monitoring and logging toolsUnderstanding of: Software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Basic networking and security conceptsUS Citizens and Green Card holders only.No Visa Sponsorship available for this position.Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.What Will Be Nice to Have:Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platformsFamiliarity with Git, version control, and automation scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)Exposure to DevSecOps practicesBasic understanding of cloud security and compliance conceptsRelevant certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals)Internship or project experience in cloud or DevOps environmentsThe annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$108,000.00.
