Job Title: Internal Communications ManagerLocation: Chicago, ILWork Arrangement: Hybrid; onsite 3 days per weekAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and proactive writer to support internal communications within the HR function. This role will work closely with the Chief People Officer and support key messaging initiatives across the organization.This opportunity is being opened to help fill a temporary gap related to a leave of absence. The assignment could be short-term, ranging from a few weeks to a few months, maybe longer. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, draft, and refine internal communications for the HR team Partner closely with HR leaders on messaging strategyTranslate HR-related topics into clear, thoughtful, and engaging communicationsFollow an established communications playbook while also bringing ideas and recommendations for the best way to deliver specific messagesIncorporate feedback effectively and collaborate with leadership on revisions and final contentTake initiative in managing writing assignments and driving projects forwardWhat We’re Looking ForStrong writing and editing experience, ideally in internal communications, HR communications, or employee communicationsA self-starter who is hungry, adaptable, and excited to make an impactSomeone who takes direction and feedback well, while also offering thoughtful input on communication approach and strategyAbility to work within an existing process and playbook, while still showing initiative and sound judgmentExperienceIdeally 3-5+ years of relevant experience
