Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.What You'll DoPreparation of metal samples (cutting, grinding, polishing) for various tests.Operate and maintain Optical Emission Spectrometers (OES) and other analytical equipment to determine the chemical composition of raw materials and finished castings.Conduct routine maintenance and calibration checks on all lab equipment to ensure accuracy.Execute Tensile and Hardness Tests (e.g., Brinell, Rockwell) on cast metal samples to confirm mechanical properties meet specifications.Record, analyze, and interpret test results, promptly reporting any deviations or non-conformances to the Quality and Production teams.Perform microscopic evaluation of metal structure to assess nodularity, structure, porosity, and inclusion levels. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests, analyses, and material certifications.Assist in maintaining the laboratory's quality management system, adhering to ISO 9001 standards and internal safety protocols.Support problem-solving initiatives related to material quality and process control.Process audits to confirm production compliance with written standardsVisual inspection of castings for final quality check before shipment What We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
