Software Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer with expertise in OutSystems and Microsoft .NET technologies to design, develop, enhance, and support business-critical applications across manufacturing, operations, engineering, and corporate functions. This role is part of an Agile development team responsible for delivering innovative business solutions, modernizing legacy applications, improving operational efficiency, and supporting enterprise application modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate is self-directed, customer-focused, and able to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications using OutSystems and Microsoft .NET technologies.
Build and maintain responsive web applications, APIs, integrations, and workflow solutions.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver business value.
Develop and support REST and SOAP services, APIs, and system integrations with internal and external platforms.
Participate in application modernization efforts, including migration of legacy applications to modern architectures and platforms.
Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and performance issues across development, test, and production environments.
Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and support materials.
Perform unit testing, automated testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, retrospectives, and demos.
Contribute to CI/CD implementation and deployment automation initiatives.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, architecture, and operations teams to ensure reliable and supportable solutions.
Provide application support and participate in on-call rotations for critical business systems as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience developing enterprise business applications.3+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET technologies, including:
C#ASP.NET.NET Core / .NET 8+REST API development 2+ years of experience developing applications using the OutSystems platform.
Experience with relational database design and development using Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience integrating applications using APIs, web services, and messaging technologies.
Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
OutSystems Associate Reactive Developer Certification (or higher).Experience migrating applications from low-code platforms to traditional code-based solutions.
Experience with:
- Azure DevOpsGitCI/CD pipelines
- Docker or container technologiesAWS and/or Azure cloud services
- Blazor, React, or other modern JavaScript frameworks
- Entity Framework
Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, operations, order management, or ERP-related business systems.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot.
Knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and scalable enterprise application design.
