We are seeking a skilled Pathologist for a 2-day assignment in Illinois, starting Feb 4, 2027. This role involves a 9a-5p schedule, requiring the physician to serve as the sole pathologist, performing all grossing, sign-outs for various biopsies and specimens, and conducting comprehensive intraoperative assessments. Responsibilities and Duties Perform all grossing of specimens Serve as the sole pathologist on site Sign out bone marrow biopsies, general surgical pathology, and cytology Examine peripheral blood smears and crystal exams Sign out clinic biopsies, including general surgery, urology, and gynecology Conduct intraoperative adequacy assessments for pancreatic endoscopic ultrasounds, ultrasound guided thyroid FNA, and CT/US guided biopsies Perform frozen sections of tumors, skin lesions, margins, and joints for neutrophil counts Additional Information Required Board Certifications: Anatomic Pathology & Clinical Pathology; Cytopathology EMR: Meditech EHR Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
