DevOps engineers, with their wide-ranging technical and problem-solving skills, are shaping the future of software development to efficiently deliver high-quality, secure software by providing automated services that enable SW engineers to focus on developing mission capabilities.The role's core responsibility is for providing the design, development, implementation, and integration of a computer/network/storage infrastructure, as well as supporting modernizing the program platform's over-arching design through new emerging technologies and the use of DevOps/DevSecOps tools and automation to streamline processes, enhance collaboration, and accelerate the release cycles, thereby driving efficiency and innovation. You will be on a team that is responsible for development and operational environments on a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset. This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control.What You Will DoSupport transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructureAssist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelinesLeverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, and infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration managementCollaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and other agile development teams to design and implement robust platform solutionsIntegrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management Provide operational support for the platformRequired SkillsTypically requires a BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Physics, and 8 years of related work experienceExperience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services using technologies such as Kubernetes and RKE2Experience with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)Experience with Red Hat LinuxIngest services via Apache KafkaExperience deploying, configuring, and supporting CI/CD Pipeline tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gitlab)Experience with troubleshooting applications & infrastructure services on Linux-based operating systemsExperience with automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and ChefExperience developing, testing & delivering applications w/in a DevSecOps frameworkBackground in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integrationAn active and Current TS/SCI / CI PolyU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearanceDesired SkillsExperience with JavaExperience with ProxmoxAWS ExperienceOverview of Benefits$170k-$190k annual salaryCompany Funded 401(k) - 25% of base pay deposited every pay period - Vested day one of employmentAll Health Care Benefits and Premiums are paid by the company, and with the company's HSA contributionAnnual Bonuses250 hours of PTO, with up to 40 hours available to carry overBiannual Company-Sponsored Events for the employees and their familiesEducation Benefits: Tuition Reimbursement, Certificates, and reimbursement for skilled courses
