Project Controller (Junior): On behalf of our Engineering client, Procom is searching for a Project Controller (Junior) for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Charleston, West Virginia office. Project Controller (Junior) - Job Description: The Project Controller (Junior) will provide project management support services, focusing on project initiation, cost management, change management, progress measurement, reporting, and project close-out. This role involves collaborating with project managers to develop and review project plans, estimates, schedules, risks, and contractual requirements. Project Controller (Junior) - Responsibilities: • Review PC Organizational structure and maintain staffing worksheet • Understand overall project scope • Review Estimate and provide input for mapping to the control WBS • Review schedule and maintain list of project key milestones • Maintain project time phasing for control budget and estimate to complete • Complete requisitions for commitment of project materials and services • Compile incurred costs reporting and variance explanations • Update cost management system with time-phased data, contractor progress, and project trends • Review project invoices to ensure costs align with incurred costs • Review contractor cost and progress and provide input to estimate at completion • Monitor cost progress and performance metrics to establish potential and pending trends • Participate in HRIM and QRA meetings • Assist in the preparation and compiling of detailed project cost reports, scorecards, and project scans • Provide overall support to Intermediate and Senior Project Controls • Involved in administrative project close-out activities Project Controller (Junior) - Mandatory Skills: • Good to excellent communication skills • Basic awareness of Earned Value Management, rules of credit, and progress measurement • Experience with executing low- to moderate-risk capital projects • Strong problem-solving skills • Ability to work effectively in a team environment • Accessible and open to feedback • Strong attention to detail Project Controller (Junior) – Nice-to-Have Skills: • Experience with project management software • Familiarity with engineering, procurement, and construction processes • Understanding of cost management systems • Experience in a similar industry • Knowledge of project close-out activities Project Controller (Junior) – Assignment Length: This is a 12-month contract position.
