DC Power Technician- Nationwide - Travel-DoD Clearance Required

Job Summary An AllCom Global Services Project is comprised of various subsystems that will be installed, tested, and placed into service. This requires a very experienced installation person to understand the system design, industry standards, installation methods & processes and an extensive knowledge of data enterprise and telecommunication environments. This is a 100% travel position and requires a DoD Security clearance.job duties and responsibilitiesDC and AC Power Systems Installation and secondary distribution. Rectifiers and Power Boards (Vertiv, Benning)Inverter plants. - Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) SystemsGrounding installation requirements and standardsInside Plant infrastructure providing common system functionality (cabling, racking, power)Site surveys and site installation preparation. - Transport equipment installation and commissioning requirementsData switch & Data Enterprise installation. - Voice switch installation requirementsAble to write detailed MOP's and SOW'sExtremely knowledgeable in industry standards supporting the Data and Telecommunication environmentsClear understanding of performing System Acceptance Testing (SAT)Installation, commissioning, and testing of -48V VRLA battery systemsCommon manufacturers include EnerSys, GNB and C&DInstallation, hot-cut, commissioning, and testing of DC power boards to include alarm notificationsCommon manufacturers include Emerson/Liebert, Benning, Lucent, and Alpha TechnologiesInstallation, hot-cut, commissioning, and testing of Inverter systems to include alarm notificationsCommon manufacturers include Benning, Peco II, CE+T and Alpha TechnologiesClear understanding of proper lacing techniquesAllCom's Core Values of Honesty, Integrity, Quality and Performancejob knowledge AND skillsMS Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and Power PointLaptop computer for testing, equipment configurations and commissioningBasic hand tools and crimpers for installation of power boards, inverters, and DC power circuitsTest equipment for fiber, copper, and power equipment.
