Ensure documentation is accurate and complete for each testing method. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.ResponsibilitiesDuties/Responsibilities (may not be applicable based on department assignment): Execute various instrument / equipment / test methods to include:pHSodium chloride assay and ID'sHIAC (sub-visible particle counts)UV/Vis spectrophotometerICP Heavy Metals and IronEnvironmentalsSterility TestingHeparin Assay testingBioburden TestingSetup various laboratory equipment and prepare materials required for validations and/or routine analysisCalibrate laboratory instruments / equipmentMaintain sample log-in / check-in / testing logs / product release filesMonitor laboratory supplies / stock inventory and related testing schedules, and order supplies as neededSupport laboratory activities relating to production equipment and process validationsMaintain general cleanliness of laboratory.Responsible for proper disposal of tested product, microbiological wastes, and chemical wastesPerform other testing / sampling duties as requiredOther duties as required to support the needs of the business.EducationHigh School diploma/GED requiredAssociates degree preferred in a science discipline (chemistry, biology, microbiology)Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesComputer skills including excel and word and power point - ProficientStrong team player exhibiting flexibility and leadership, ability to work independently – ProficientProblem solving – ProficientAbility to work independently, without direct supervision – ProficientOral and written communication - ProficientAbility to communicate clearly with all levels of personnel, including customers and auditors – ProficientAttention to details – ProficientDescriptive statistics skills - BasicLaboratory instruments (ICP-OES, UV/Vis, FTIR) knowledge - ProficientPharmaceutical & medical device regulatory knowledge - ProficientAnalytical skills - ProficientAble to operate chemistry laboratory equipment - ProficientPCP Level: 3Why Join Us?To find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
