Job Description:
As the Assistant Kitchen Manager at Waterfront, you'll play a crucial role in the execution of our diverse menu. You'll work in collaboration with the Kitchen Manager and BOH team to maintain our high standards.
Responsibilities:
Culinary Excellence: Prepare and oversee the preparation of dishes to the highest culinary standards.
Kitchen Leadership: Lead and guide kitchen staff in various culinary tasks, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to food safety standards.
Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory, order ingredients, and monitor stock levels to support the crafting of our diverse menu items.
Safety and Sanitation: Enforce food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on prepared dishes, ensuring they meet the highest standards and presentation requirements.
Cost Control: Work with the Head Chef to control food costs and minimize waste while maintaining exceptional quality.
Training: Assist in the training and development of kitchen staff, ensuring they are skilled in crafting our diverse menu items and craft cocktails.
Collaboration: Work closely with front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, and management, to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and dining areas.
Qualifications:
Culinary Expertise: Extensive culinary knowledge and skills in various cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation, with a focus on fine dining and appetizers.
Experience: Several years of experience as a Assistant Kitchen Manager or similar role in a high-end restaurant, showcasing your culinary leadership.
Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
Food Safety: Knowledge of food safety regulations and the ability to enforce them in the kitchen.
Adaptability: Flexibility to handle high-stress situations and adapt to changing demands during peak service times.
