Quality Engineer
Overview
In this role you drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes and serve as the main liaison for customer quality matters. You will apply quality tools to keep processes stable, lead corrective actions, and support audits and containment. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, validate fixes, and ensure product conformance. ResponsibilitiesMonitor KPIs like COPQ, scrap rate and FTQ; lead corrective actions when targets aren’t metApply SPC, Pareto and process validation to ensure stable, capable processesManage non-conforming product process with containment, rework, or dispositionKeep Control Plans accurate and followed on the lineAudit finished goods and determine sample sizes to ensure specsProvide quality training and guidance to production teams on new processes and controlsServe as primary contact for customer quality issues and drive resolution using structured problem solving (8D)
Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field2+ years in automotive manufacturing qualityExperience leading problem solving and applying tools (8D, SPC, MSA, FMEA)Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and customer-specific quality requirementsStrong root-cause analysis and corrective action skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer and internal interfacesAbility to manage multiple customer requirements in a fast-paced environmentFluent in business English; proficient in PowerPoint and ExcelFamiliarity with quality software/tools (e.g., Minitab)Strong communicationInterpersonal skillsPrioritization and multitasking8D problem solvingSPCMSA
