About the RoleYoung Equipment Solutions is a leading institutional equipment dealer serving schools and universities across New York — and we're growing fast. We're looking for an expert-level AVL Sales Specialist who lives and breathes audiovisual, theatrical lighting, and integrated technology systems — and knows how to sell them into the education market.This isn't an entry-level role. We want someone who has walked a school auditorium and immediately spotted the outdated followspot, who can talk beam angle and DMX protocol with a facilities director, and who knows how to navigate cooperative purchasing to close a $400K video wall install.What You'll SellTheatrical & Stage Lighting SystemsVideo Walls & Large-Format DisplaysDigital Signage Networks & Campus WayfindingDistributed Audio & Sound Reinforcement SystemsAV Integration for Classrooms, Auditoriums & ArenasWhat You'll DoDevelop and manage a territory of K–12 districts and college/university facilities across New YorkBuild relationships with directors of facilities, IT, performing arts, and capital planningScope, specify, and propose complex AVL solutions — from concept through cooperative contract awardLeverage BOCES, NYSOGS, Sourcewell, and other cooperative purchasing vehicles to accelerate dealsCollaborate with vendor reps, integrators, and project managers on installationsWhat You Bring5+ years of AVL or EdTech sales experience, ideally in K–12 or higher educationDeep product knowledge across theatrical lighting (ETC, Chauvet, High End), video walls (Samsung, LG, Planar), digital signage platforms, and commercial audio (Bose, QSC, Yamaha Pro)Familiarity with cooperative purchasing programs (BOCES, Sourcewell, TIPS, etc.) — a major plusProven track record of $1M+ annual revenue in a consultative sales environmentStrong presentation and proposal skills; comfortable presenting to school boards and facilities committeesNY-area market knowledge preferred; Hudson Valley and/or NYC experience a distinct advantageWhat We OfferCompetitive base salary + uncapped commission structureSix-figure earning trajectory for top performersQuarterly performance bonus tied to scorecard metricsMileage, expense reimbursement, and vendor co-op supportA growing, entrepreneurial team that moves fast and rewards resultsAccess to a broad cooperative contract portfolio — you're never selling coldAbout Young Equipment SolutionsYoung is a well recognized 48 Year old New York-based school equipment dealer serving K–12 districts, BOCES, and higher education institutions.
