LightWorks Counseling and Wellness provides a blend of in-person and telehealth services.This new outpatient program represents an important evolution in our mission — expanding Shineforth's continuum of care upstream by offering accessible therapy services that strengthens resilience and promotes healthier long-term outcomes through whole-person care.Currently in its launch phase, this program offers clinicians the opportunity to help build and shape a growing service line. As the program expands, it will develop a multidisciplinary team model, including medication management, evaluations, and expanded clinical specialties, creating a comprehensive and integrated continuum of care for individuals and families.What We DoLightWorks Counseling and Wellness offers:Individual Therapy (Children, Teens, Young Adults, Parents & Caregivers)Family TherapyOccupational TherapyOutpatient Therapist Key Responsibilities:Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plansProvide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based practicesCollaborate with the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and multidisciplinary team to support integrated, whole-person careMaintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with agency, licensing, and insurance standardsProvide client and caregiver education, care coordination, and appropriate referralsRespond to crisis situations in alignment with agency protocolsParticipate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional developmentWho We ServeChildren & Teens (Ages 5–18)Young Adults (Ages 19–26)Parents & CaregiversClinical Focus Areas: Anxiety | Depression | Grief | Trauma | ADHD | Family Therapy | Life Transitions | Personal GrowthWe serve a diverse client base and maintain a balanced payor mix, including Medicaid, private insurance, and self-pay, reflecting our commitment to accessibility while sustaining a strong and equitable caseload model for clinicians.Who We NeedSomeone who's more than licensed — you're invested.We're seeking a clinician who is:Master's Level and Licensed (LCSW, LPC, or LCP in Virginia)Experienced (minimum 3 years post-licensure)May have advanced certifications or specialty training (EMDR, Registered Play Therapist, etc.)Strong documentation and technology proficiencyGrowth-oriented and collaborativeCommitted to exceptional client care and customer servicePrioritizes to evidence-based practicesEmbraces Collaborative Problem SolvingEnergized by helping launch and grow a new programSchedule & ExpectationsMinimum availability: 2 days per week in personOne evening per week until 7:00 PMAverage 12–15 billable encounters per week, for 48 weeks per yearProficiency with Microsoft Office and clinical documentation systems requiredWe prioritize sustainable caseloads and are flexible to the days and provide compensation support while your caseload builds.Enjoy the flexibility of a part-time role with customizable days and hours designed around your schedule.What We OfferWhile this is a part-time role (not eligible for health/dental insurance or PTO), we offer meaningful and competitive support:401(k) eligibility at start, with up to 7% employer contributionLiability insurance covered under agency policyAnnual training stipendPaid documentation buffer in between sessionsPaid onboarding and trainingShort-term base compensation while caseload is establishedOutfitted therapist offices stocked with therapeutic interventions, materials, and clinical supplies — so you can focus on clinical excellence, not shopping listsOpportunities to participate in Shineforth's agency-wide trainings and eventsWhy Work at Shineforth?Shineforth has been an unwavering champion for children, teens, and families for more than 125 years.
