Engineer (NVH / Crash / Durability) Location: Raymond, OH Pay: $51.25 - $58.00/hr. We are seeking a Senior Structural CAE Engineer to support advanced vehicle development through simulation-driven engineering. This role focuses on reducing physical testing through high-fidelity CAE analysis, model development, and validation across NVH, crash, strength, and durability domains. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform full-vehicle structural CAE simulations supporting NVH, crash, strength, and durability performanceDevelop, document, and validate new CAE methods to improve modeling accuracy and correlation to physical testingBuild and maintain high-quality pre/post-processing models for full vehicle simulation studiesAnalyze and interpret simulation results to identify design risks, structural issues, and performance gapsCorrelate CAE predictions with test data and drive continuous model improvementSupport cross-functional engineering teams as a simulation subject matter expert and internal consultantInvestigate complex engineering problems and provide independent technical judgment and solutionsOwn root cause analysis of simulation discrepancies and drive corrective actionsSupport replacement or reduction of physical testing through digital engineering methods Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field10+ years of CAE/structural simulation experience in automotive or aerospace environmentsStrong expertise in at least one domain: NVH, crash, strength, or durabilityAdvanced experience with CAE pre/post tools (ANSA, META, HyperWorks, ModSim, HyperView)Experience with solvers such as LS-DYNA, Abaqus (Standard/Explicit), Nastran, OptiStruct, or ActranStrong understanding of structural mechanics and simulation principlesProven ability to correlate simulation results with physical test dataStrong independent problem-solving and analytical skills Preferred QualificationsAdvanced degree (may substitute for up to 2 years of experience)Experience across multiple domains (NVH, crash, durability)Strong history of developing new CAE methods or improving simulation workflowsExperience working in OEM or Tier 1 automotive development environments Key CompetenciesIndependent engineering judgment and problem ownershipStrong validation and correlation mindsetAbility to challenge assumptions and drive technical improvementsExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Employee Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance | 401(k) Retirement Savings Plans | Employee Assistance Program (EAP) | Commuter/Parking Accounts | People Perks | Health Savings Account (HSA) | AD & D Insurance This is a high-impact engineering role supporting next-generation vehicle development through advanced simulation and digital engineering methods.
