Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview):Spry Methods is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a federal law enforcement and scientific mission environment delivering secure, high-performing enterprise IT services. This role contributes directly to the reliability, modernization, and operational excellence of infrastructure, applications, and specialized technology platforms that enable critical investigative and scientific capabilities.The Systems Engineer will support a diverse ecosystem of hardware, enterprise systems, applications, and operational technologies across multiple interconnected networks. This position plays a key role in strengthening service delivery, optimizing system performance, and improving integration across platforms to ensure seamless mission execution.Working at the convergence of enterprise IT and specialized scientific systems, you will ensure supported environments maintain high levels of availability, responsiveness, security, and operational stability. The role requires proactive monitoring of server and system performance, alignment with service level objectives, and continuous identification of process and technical enhancements that increase efficiency, resilience, and scalability.What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):The scope of this program is to enhance enterprise IT services and solutions to this customer component to provide best-in-class end-user support and drive improvements in the operations, management, maintenance and integration of services across multiple networks, systems, and applications to enable and enhance mission operations for law enforcement capabilitiesIn this role, you will be working at the intersection of traditional IT and specialized scientific and operational technology systems to ensure functionality, performance, availability, responsiveness of supported IT systems and servicesYou will be accountable for managing server performance against service delivery objectives and identifying and implementing operational improvements to promote efficiency within the organizationRequirements & DocumentationGather and analyze user system requirements using multiple methodologiesDevelop technical documentation, including system requirements, security specifications, and test plansSystem Operations & TroubleshootingDiagnose and resolve server issues related to connectivity, storage, application status, availability, and hardwareMonitor system performance, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actionsData Protection & ContinuityPerform regular data backups and maintain disaster recovery operationsSupport Continuity of Operations (COOP) to ensure mission-critical availabilityInfrastructure ManagementApply technical and business expertise to improve deployment and maintenance processesDesign, deploy, test, certify, patch, and address interoperability issues across all system componentsCollaboration & Service ImprovementWork independently and collaboratively to enhance system solutions and drive service improvementsEnterprise Architecture LeadershipDefine and enforce enterprise architecture standards and best practices across IT projectsDevelop and maintain reference architectures to guide solution design and implementationEnsure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance frameworks in all architectural designsLead architecture review boards and provide guidance on technical decisions and trade-offsDrive innovation by evaluating and integrating emerging technologies into enterprise solutionsWhat You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):US citizenship with active Top Secret clearanceMinimum of 8 years' experience, or equivalent certifications demonstrating ability to perform at this levelExperience in tools such as AWS, Microsoft, Windows Server, Citrix, NetApp, Dell Unity, Dell Avamar, Hyper-V, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure DevOps, Ivanti, Microsoft Service Manager, Atlassian, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, WSUS, and BigFix, SplunkWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
