Machine Operator--2nd shift
Job TitleResponsibilities include:Maintain a safe and efficient work environmentAdjust, and operate stamping presses and other secondary metal processing equipmentMake small adjustment to feeder equipment to feed material into pressPerform in process checks on parts and minimize scrapMaintain a clean work areaPerform work in line with quality requirements and ensure that parts are made to printOperate a forklift on a regular basisData entry on computer systemPerform daily safety checks on machinesRun single stroke hand feed and automatic pressesTurning on and turning off the machineMake stock guides adjustmentAdditional items as assigned by Supervisor2nd shift hours (train on 1st)Principal Contacts Inside/Outside the Company:This position interacts with other manufacturing personnel, project managers, and area supervisor.Competency or Position Requirements:Intermediate knowledge of blueprint readingProficient at setting up, adjusting and operating stamping presses and other secondary metal processing equipmentAbility to operate coil line and feeder equipmentAbility to perform work accurately and thoroughlyAbility to be detail orientedAbility to be dependable and trustworthyAbility to be work well in a team environmentAll Armor employees are also expected to demonstrate Armor's core values of being:Customer-FocusedPassionate about WorkSolution-OrientedDriven by IntegrityEducation and/or Experience:High School graduate or GED3-5 years of experience setting up and operating stamping presses, pre-setters, and other secondary equipmentEquipment Used:This position will use a stamping press, other metal forming, fabricating and processing equipment.Working and Physical Conditions:This position works on the manufacturing floor.
