Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health RN for a 13-week psychiatric hospital assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of BH/Psych experience and BLS certification.Job Details• Psychiatric hospital setting with 337 staffed beds,• Behavioral Health unit, with potential floating to inpatient units based on patient census,• All age populations may be encountered when floating is required,• Evening shift: 4x8 hours (15:00-23:30) and Day shift: 4x8 hours (07:00-15:30),• Every other weekend required,• No on-call requirements,• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs,• Charting system: Sunrise,• Free employee parking available on campus,Job Requirements• Active MD or Compact RN license required,• Current BLS certification required,• Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health or Psychiatric nursing experience required (3 years strongly preferred),• Two professional references required for consideration,• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration,• Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland prior to start,Additional Information• Standard attire on the Behavioral Health unit is business casual; navy scrubs required when floating to inpatient units - candidates should plan to have a set available,• Travel nurses may be reassigned to inpatient units if patient census on the Behavioral Health unit decreases,• Charge RN responsibilities may be assigned during a shift,• Manager will set schedules based on unit needs; pre-approved time-off requests will be honored, but additional RTO requests may require shift swapping with coworkers,• Up to 1 pre-approved RTO request allowed for the duration of the contract,• Essential worker status applies during inclement weather events; facility provides support options such as sheltering and food during such events,• Local candidates are accepted,
