Python Developer

You'll have opportunities to take initiative, lead projects, and grow both technically and professionally.This position is suited for junior to mid-senior developers who are confident in their technical abilities and eager to make an impact regardless of career stage.As part of our engineering team, you will collaborate with experienced developers to build and maintain our trading platform, develop new systems and APIs, and expose them to our trading and data teams. Being part of a small, rapidly growing team offers a rare opportunity to influence architectural decisions, contribute to process design, and see the platform evolve from inception to maturity.Responsibilities:Design and contribute to building a mission critical data platform for the purposes of live trading and simulationCollaborate with systematic traders to deploy and monitor trading systems, improve risk management techniques and enhance portfolio performance through improving our systems and processesImplement front office and back-office software componentsImplement streaming data feeds and captureImplement unit, system and integration testsHelp design and implement monitoring and dashboarding solutionsHelp design, build and maintain our CI/CD pipelinesCollaborate with the data team on build out of the data management platformContribute to overall architectureEducation/Qualifications:A degree in Computer science or a quantitative field with substantial programming exposureExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsVery strong Python, with the focus on systems programmingAbility to analyze system performance, instrument code and apply optimizations where necessaryExcellent knowledge of software development fundamentals: git, CI/CD, Unit testing, code reviews, TDD, FDD, Jira. Or equivalent.Strong Linux/Unix system, command and bash scriptingExposure to container technologiesGood awareness of database technologies, with strong skills in at least one product/flavor. SQL or schemalessVery good communication skillsPreferred:Data stream processing, PCAP and messaging (e.g. kafka)Orchestration, e.g. Docker compose, Swarm or KubernetsLogging, monitoring, search, e.g. ELK or equivalentExperience in trading platform implementation
