Np, Nurse Practitioner/Pa, Physician Assistant - General Surgery (San Antonio)

Description Job Summary We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient General Surgery team in San Antonio, TX . This position is primarily clinic-based, focusing on the evaluation and management of surgical patients in a supportive and collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP looking to establish a long-term role within a growing surgical program. Key Responsibilities* Provide outpatient care for general surgery patients, including new patient evaluations and follow-up visits * Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient management * Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the surgical team * Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies * Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery expectations * Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR * Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure continuity and quality of careQualifications* Current Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant * National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) * Previous surgical or outpatient specialty experience preferred * Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a clinic setting * Interest in long-term growth within a surgical specialtySchedule & Compensation* Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM * Primarily outpatient role with flexibility based on provider interest * Competitive compensation based on experience * Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, malpractice coverage, PTO, CME allowance, and a 403(b) retirement plan with employer match
