Restraints Electronics Module Development Engineer
Overview
In this role you will drive the design, release, and program application of Passive Safety Electronics, Restraints Control Modules, and crash sensors. You will partner with full-service suppliers to ensure timely, high-quality hardware, software, and calibration deliveries. You’ll work across disciplines to meet cost, weight, quality, and timing targets while advancing safety-focused vehicle systems. This is an opportunity to shape electrical features for current and future Ford models in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and release for Passive Safety Electronics systems across vehicle platformsManage program application and alignment with cost, weight, quality, and timing targetsCollaborate with suppliers to release hardware, software, and calibration on timeSupport Change Control, BOM accuracy, and post-Job 1 issue resolutionConduct design validation (breadboard, HIL, bench, in-vehicle) and sign off on compliance plansSupport prototype and vehicle launch activities and supplier engagement processesApply Robustness Engineering disciplines (FMEA, 8D, P-Diagram) and Six-Sigma methodologiesDefine and verify prototype requirements and guide parts implementation in assembly
