About the Opportunity: The Quality Assurance Intern role is a temporary role for students pursuing an education in quality.This role will learn while working on real-life quality projects, also providing administrative support. Location:Manchester, CT This role will be onsite 100% of the time. Responsibilities: Supports Supervisors, Team Leaders and Associates in the application of the Lean principles Assists in the creation of Work Instructions, Daily Management, 6 Sigma and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) Documents Participate in manufacturing engineering projects Learn manufacturing processes Assist with changing/updating manufacturing engineering documents Assist with time studies Provides administrative support May interact with other departments Adheres to all Core Values (Health and Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Development of People, Integrity, Corporate Citizenship, Continuous Improvement, Respect). Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis. Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint Physical Requirements: Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment. Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk. Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds. Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
