Hourly Pay Range:$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Position Highlights:Sign On Bonus: This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus. The first $500 will be paid on the pay date of the pay period in which you achieve your 6-month mark of employment. The remaining $500 will be paid on the pay date of the pay period in which you achieve your 1-year mark of employment, as long as you are still employed in this position at a 0.5 FTE or above.Position: Medical Assistant - Physical Medicine and RehabLocation: Elmhurst, ILFull Time 36 hours per weekHours: Monday - Thursday 8 to 9 hour shifts varying start times 7:00 AM, or 7:30 AM, or 8:00 AM, or 8:30 AM. Fridays are 5 hour shiftsRequired Travel: Yes (Addison, Lombard, Naperville, Oak Park, Woodridge Offices)What you will do:Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and records results, routine diagnostic tests and may perform phlebotomy. Under general supervision of a physician, administer selected medications/injections. Also performs clerical duties related to clinic operations. MA supports very busy Neuroscience offices with multiple sites.What you will need:High school diploma or GED - REQUIREDCertified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA , RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health Career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience - PREFERRED:Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience.Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red CrossA valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location.
