This is a hands‑on role with broad responsibility across ERP systems, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, fixed assets, regulatory filings, and system integrations. The ideal candidate enjoys complexity, takes ownership, and thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and manage GL mapping and resolve unmapped transactions across multiple subsidiariesPost Day‑1 company and acquisition‑related transactions into the ERP systemReview ERP postings and ensure interim transactions are properly updated to the General LedgerPerform pricing importsExecute ACH payment collection processes for the wholesale customer basePrepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliationsReview bank reconciliations prepared by the Staff AccountantReconcile deposit accounts, including security, installation, and prebuy depositsPerform daily credit card reconciliation review and ongoing maintenanceReconcile intercompany and clearing accounts across multiple entitiesPrepare standard and recurring monthly journal entries per the close checklistPost ERP-generated interim and final monthly journal entriesAssist with month‑end and year‑end close activitiesManage fixed asset activity, including additions, disposals, reconciliations, and audit supportCalculate and record propane tank installation assetsMaintain enterprise vehicle lease schedules and related accountingCoordinate ASC 842 lease accounting with the external CPA firm and maintain related journal entriesSupport accounts payable processing and expense coding as neededPrepare and file multi‑state sales tax returns (MA, ME) for various entitiesComplete census and statistical filings (AIES, RECS, ESS)Prepare additional regulatory filings as requiredManage Accounting exports to the General LedgerPerform related cash and revenue reviews and reconciliationsEnsure accurate and complete financial data flow between operational systems and accountingPrepare year‑end audit schedules and supporting documentation, and assist during audit fieldworkRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi‑entity environmentStrong general ledger, reconciliation, and month‑end close experienceHands‑on experience with ERP systems and system integrationsWorking knowledge of fixed asset accounting and lease accounting (ASC 842 preferred)Experience with sales tax filings and regulatory reportingHigh attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesProficiency with Excel and financial systemsCPA or public accounting background a plus, but not required *** Base Salary - $90,000-$110,000***
