HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this production-floor quality inspection role within a precision machining environment.Position OverviewThe Quality Control Roving Inspector serves as a mobile quality resource across multiple machining cells. This role is responsible for conducting in-process and final inspections, identifying dimensional deviations, and supporting machinists and supervisors in maintaining compliance with strict blueprint and tolerance requirements.This is a hands-on position requiring direct engagement on the production floor. The selected candidate must demonstrate strong inspection judgment, technical understanding of machining tolerances, and the ability to work independently while supporting multiple teams.Core ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process inspections across multiple machining stationsConduct final inspections prior to release to the next operation or shipmentInterpret blueprints and GD&T specifications to validate part accuracyUse precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, comparators, and gaugesIdentify and document dimensional or surface defectsAssist in resolving nonconformance issues at the floor levelSupport documentation and quality tracking processesCommunicate findings clearly with machinists, supervisors, and quality leadershipMaintain compliance with ISO-based quality standardsRequired Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)Minimum 5+ years of quality inspection experience within a precision machining environmentStrong blueprint reading and GD&T proficiencyHands-on experience using calipers, micrometers, comparators, and similar inspection toolsWorking knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 quality standardsDemonstrated ability to work independently across multiple production areasStable employment history within manufacturing environmentsCandidates without machining-related inspection experience will not be considered.
