Our expertise in materials, manufacturing, and aerodynamic design positions us uniquely to support demanding aerospace projects.ROLEThis is a full-time role in Madison, WI for a Manufacturing Technician. The Manufacturing Technician will collaborate with the engineering team to manufacture aircraft structures, assemblies, and their respective tooling to meet specific aerospace requirements. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the hands-on fabrication and assembly of high-quality composite components and structures. The position requires an attention to detail, accuracy, quality, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.RESPONSIBILITIESFabricate tooling, jigs, and fixtures used to create composite components and sub-assembliesFabricate composite and metal components and structures according to engineering drawingsPerform dimensional checks of components with calibrated measuring devices to ensure correct dimensionsReport defects, issues, concerns, and process improvements to leadershipEvaluate composite components for defects and imperfections to ensure they meet quality standardsAssist in planning and scheduling program needsPerform structural bonding of composite componentsWork in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with engineers and other techniciansQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate1+ years of experience in composite fabrication, hardware assembly, test, maintenance, material handling, and/or installation OR certificate from an accredited trade skills program in A&P, and/or manufacturingProven experience in working with various composite materials, resins, and fibersSKILLS & EXPERIENCE PREFERREDFamiliarity with aerospace quality standards and regulationsHands-on experience in tooling, jig, and fixture fabricationExceptional attention to detail and accuracy in workExperience gained through the military or within an aviation manufacturing companyBasic knowledge of CAD software for reviewing and interpreting designsAbility to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environmentITAR REQUIREMENTSTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident, (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
