2nd Shift QC Supervisor

Summary: Oversees day-to-day Quality Control activities, ensuring compliance, accuracy and timeliness of specified processes (e.g., in-process and finished product samples, cleanliness monitoring and verification, metal detection verification, proof reading verification and approval, seal integrity verification, daily instrument calibration, cleaning chemical titration test). Responsibilities:Trains and supervises department employees to insure optimum competency, commitment and performance. Assist in customer complaint investigations Determines and distributes work assignments/priorities, manages QC Tech Ensures that all testing/assays performed by QC staff are timely, compliant and validated for accuracy. Responsible for verifying overall compliance of the manufacturing process related to 21cfr.111.103 & 111.105. Ensures corrective measures are taken to maintain quality Monitors production processes to ensure quality control measures are Ensures operations are within Assists with the testing of products for Certificate of Analysis generation and the distribution of the Certificates of Analysis. Interviews applicants and trains employees as Monitors and evaluates food safety Ensures safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work Supports and enforces food safety standards and pursue corrective actions at raw product suppliers. Conducts GMP, Food Safety Audits and maintains all required Monitors Pest Control Coordinates and/or participates in product checking/auditing. Monitors the condition and quality of products in company's Assists in decisions, based on company standards, to accept or reject Performs daily data review/auditing of QC documentation for accuracy and Leads, manages and/or participates in the investigation of non-conformances in compliance with quality procedures, policies and regulations. This position has the authority to hold product that does not conform to customer agreements, finished product specifications, or legal requirements. Provides input on revisions and review of departmental procedures and documents (procedures, work instruction, forms). Ensures adequate training (skills-based, GMP and Food Safety) of employees within department, to support production needs. Monitors and updates samples collection status with coordination and direction from QA and Sales department. Assigns work, provides feedback and coaching, and takes necessary disciplinary actions, with QA Management review. Oversees maintenance calibration and validation of laboratory Carries out duties in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and guidelines including FDA, EPA, and OSHA. Advises production and quality management of current issues on a timely Assists with training of production employees in quality criteria, GMP, food safety and other quality related issues. Monitor and control QC Schedule Perform Internal Audits (Pest Control, GMP, Glass and Brittle, ) Actively participates in projects and activities to modify and improve standards of performance from both a quality and regulatory Actively participates in learning, cross-training and implementing all quality, food safety, and regulatory elements. Special projects or other assignments as specified by QA Job Requirements:Bachelor Degree is preferred but not required in a related science or technical discipline, or 5+ years of relevant manufacturing A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality Controlled environment is required in QC Supervisory role, preferably in food Experienced in FDA Regulations, GFSI, BRC, HACCP, GMP, Strong leadership, supervisory and communication Ability to present material and ideas to all levels of the Displays a positive and respectful attitude with co-workers, all customers, external and internal. Hands-on problem Must have the ability to make sound judgment and good decisions regarding quality of product. Good balance of analytical and social Strong organizational skills and attention to Able to prioritize/adjust quickly to changing work environment with minimal supervision to meet changing plant needs. Ability to manage multiple projects Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point), mathematical Must be familiar with database systems and be able to input and retrieve data.
