Sr. Embedded Coder
Overview
In this senior embedded role, you will design and refine firmware for aerospace power distribution electronics. You will drive the full software lifecycle within a safety-focused environment and contribute to certification efforts. You’ll work with a small, motivated team, collaborating across disciplines and advancing our software-certification capabilities. This remote position offers the chance to influence next-generation embedded solutions on high-assurance projects.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and revise firmware with emphasis on safety and complianceManage full SDLC per DO-178, including documentationImplement and maintain GitLab pipelines for test automationProduce deliverables and maintain project documentationCollaborate with a small, cross-functional team in a remote setting
Key requirementsSoftware Architecture Design, Planning and DocumentationProgramming ARM Cortex and 16-bit PIC microcontrollersExperience with RS485, SPI, I2C, ARINC 429 & CAN serial protocolsNon-volatile memory concepts, EEPROM emulation, ROM storageCybersecurity requirements including boot protection and image verificationDO-178 development experience, MISRA-C lintingBootloader development and debugging with JTAG/SWDMCU selection for new products and lab support tools (LabView, Python, Excel, Matlab/Octave)Lean manufacturing/Kaizen/6S awareness and Agile/Waterfall experience5–7 years embedded software experience; U.S. Citizens only (ITAR)Excellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesStrong project management and organizational skillsTeam-oriented with the ability to wear multiple hatsC/C++ embedded softwareArm Cortex and 16-bit PIC programmingLabView, Python, Excel, Matlab/Octave tooling
