REPORTS TO: Resident Services Manager
STATUS: Hourly- (Part time)- Mon-Thurs 2pm -6pm

POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for passionate, friendly, and enthusiastic people who enjoy helping kids. The tutor will be a role model for participating students and a reliable assistant for the Site Director and Instruction Coordinator. They must be comfortable thinking on their feet and able to creatively problem solve. The tutor will interact with students in a large and small group setting. Will need confidence in their ability to engage and support students of varying ages.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Positively impact the summer program through upbeat interactions with students.
Support program staff to implement all program curriculum.
Engage with students as a secondary instructor to clarify directions and motivate the completion of tasks.
Reinforce behavior expectations and redirect disruptive students.
Lead indoor games during free time/transitional periods.
Assist coordinators in outdoor play time.
Coordinate supplies needed for program events.
Act as liaison with outside vendors
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Consistent communication regarding availability and excellent work ethic.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Firm understanding of early childhood language arts and math.
Experience with conflict resolution.
Previous work with children in an academic or recreational setting.
Possess an elevated level of maturity; self-disciplined and able to work as part of a team.
Basic computer knowledge with MS Excel, MS Word
After school hours Monday-Thursday 2pm-6pm
