Lead Machine Learning Engineer - REMOTE

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer - REMOTE to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Real Estate & Construction environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $152,600 – $190,700 annuallyResponsibilities Design and build ML platform surface for model packaging and deployment Establish standards and reusable components for ML model operations across the organization Mentor data scientists and engineers on production ML best practices Manage model serving infrastructure using AWS SageMaker for various workloads Develop and maintain a model registry with robust version control Implement and manage automated retraining pipelines with MLflow and orchestration tools Set up monitoring and alerting for production models, focusing on performance and reliabilityQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 7+ years of software engineering experience with production ownership in cloud environments 5+ years of MLOps or ML platform experience at scale Strong experience with AWS SageMaker, including model endpoints and pipelines Deep knowledge of MLflow, Weights & Biases, or similar tools for model management Proficient in Python and infrastructure-as-code, especially Terraform Solid grasp of batch and real-time inference trade-offsBenefits Opportunity to impact one of the largest homebuilders in the U.S Corporate culture centered on growth and development Flexibility to experiment with impactful ideas End-to-end project ownership and direct team interactions across divisions Remote work schedule with specific geographic preferences Comprehensive healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision 401(k) matching program to support financial planningOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
