Overview In this role you help design essential building infrastructure within HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group, enabling high-performance environments from data centers to commercial spaces. You will develop and review structural models, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure code-compliant design development and documentation. Your work supports sustainable, resilient facilities and digital-age infrastructure, contributing to HDR’s mission of empowering progress. ResponsibilitiesPrepare structural analysis models using ETABS, RAM Structural System, SAFE and Risa under senior guidanceDevelop digital building models and details in RevitWork independently on medium to large projects or assist on larger projectsReview structural documents for conflicts with other disciplinesWrite and edit structural specifications and perform calculationsCoordinate the structural design team through design development and contract document phasesLead meetings with governing agencies for code complianceConduct design development and contract document work sessions at project sites with Project Manager and other disciplinesCoordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to meet schedulesCoordinate with affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, change orders, and incorporate changes into documentsPerform site visits and structural observationPerform other duties as needed Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringProfessional engineering license recognized by the licensing board (e.g., PE or P.Eng)Previous structural engineer experienceExperience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar toolsPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmActive participation in an employee-owned culture is a mustcollaborationcoordinationcommunicationETABSRAM Structural SystemSAFE
