2nd Shift CNC Machinist
2nd Shift (Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm)
Pay rate includes hourly base rate and $3 shift differential.
The CNC Machinist is responsible for operating lathes, mills, grinding equipment, and measuring tools.
Duties and responsibilities:
Program, run, and monitor CNC machines.
Read blueprints and perform set-ups.
Review sample parts against drawings or CAD models.
Make fixtures on manual machinery.
Set up machines, write and test programs, and adjust as needed.
Create programming instructions for all the parts they manufacture.
Troubleshoot machinery when there is a process issue.
Produce parts with hand tools and machines to exact specifications.
Complete finishing operations and quality inspections for our products.
Follow all company safety policies and practices.
Other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications:
Experience with mills, lathes, or other machine shop equipment, as well as inspection equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to use inspection equipment, such as micrometers and calipers, and ability to read blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Team oriented and communication skills.
Strong math and computer skills.
Must be a motivated self-starter and be able to work independently.
Ability to work overtime, sometimes on short notice.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to train on 1st shift for up to 3 months.
Desired qualifications:
Manufacturing and/or technical experience.
Apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
Physical requirements:
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a consistent basis.
Stand for 4+ hours a day.
Willingness to work around chemicals and use appropriate PPE.
