Quality Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Tester to ensure the quality, security, and reliability of banking and financial applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing test plans, executing test cases, validating data integrity, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. This role requires strong experience in manual and automated testing, backend database validation, and working within Agile development environments. Key ResponsibilitiesReview business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for web-based and enterprise applications.Perform backend database testing and data validation using SQL queries to ensure data accuracy and integrity.Identify, document, track, verify software defects using defect management tools such as Jira or Quality Center.Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman to validate application integrations and data flow.Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve software quality.Validate application compliance with security standards, business requirements, and financial industry regulations.Support test automation initiatives using Selenium, Cucumber, or similar automation frameworks.Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming sessions.Develop and maintain test documentation, test scripts, and test execution reports.Perform regression testing prior to production releases to ensure system stability and minimize business risk.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing.Candidate must not require sponsorship and No Vendors accepted
