Proof of license(s), certification(s), and/or education must be submitted with each application.Examples of DutiesUnder close supervision, performs routine professional engineering work under the guidance of a licensed engineer, work included but not limited to the following:Improves the engineered infrastructure for Baltimore County working with teams of engineers in the Sewer Design section.Assists in the feasibility assessment, design, technical review and project management of capital sanitary sewer engineering projects, including the drafting and reviewing of plans, determination of right-of-way requirements, writing of special provisions, preparation of construction estimates, review of consultant design plans, and grading plansAssists in the performance of GIS work and computer-aided drafting and design of engineering drawings, plans, and projects.Assists in the preparation of engineering reports and technical studies.Prepares, submits, and/or assists consultants with applications for various permits required for capital improvement projects.Participates in meetings with consultants, contractors, suppliers, citizens, and others. Prepares correspondence related to projects.Meets with field personnel on-site.Works with citizens and community groups to resolve complaints concerning sewer projectsExamples of Other Duties* Performs other related duties as required.(NOTE: The duties and responsibilities listed above are for the purpose of determining a common set of minimum qualifications for all positions in this class. Each position may not be required to perform all of the essential job functions listed.)QualificationsGraduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in engineering,ORPossession of a certificate of registration as an Engineer in Training issued by a State within the United States of America.Preferred Qualifications:College coursework, internships, and/or work experience in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering.Licenses and CertificatesPossession of a valid driver's license equivalent to a noncommercial, class C Maryland driver's license may be required for some positions at the time of appointment.Proof of License(s), Certification(s) and EducationApplicants are required to submit proof of license(s), certification(s) and education beyond high school to meet the required and preferred qualifications of the position.
