Junior Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Support the development and integration of air traffic management systems for a federal aviation program.• Focus on system management, ensuring seamless functionality and modernization of air traffic control operations.• Utilize core technologies including Ansible, Python, Bash/Shell scripting, and Linux system administration.• Work with container technologies like Podman/Docker and manage virtual machine lifecycles.• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines.What You'll Need• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.• Less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python and Bash/Shell.• Experience with Linux system administration, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux.• Familiarity with containerization (Podman/Docker) and virtual machine management (VMware, KVM).• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.What's On Offer• Competitive annual salary ($69,550 – $125,725) plus potential for bonuses.• Opportunity to work on critical national airspace system modernization projects.• Hybrid work environment with a mix of in-office and remote work.• Exposure to enterprise infrastructure management and mission-critical system deployment.Apply via Haystack today!
