Apply today to our Manager of Med Surg and be a part of the innovation of ideas.Job Summary and QualificationsYou will be responsible for the activities, supervision, management and direction of the Medical Unit in accordance with organizational and departmental philosophy and goalsThis position will assist the Associate Chief Nursing Officer in maintaining the highest degree of clinical and operational performance of the DepartmentYou will be responsible for leadership of Medical Unit personnel and/ or students and will function as a resource for physicians, nursing staff and patientsYou will be responsible for the delivery of professional nursing care and provides leadership to staffWhat qualifications you will need:Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; B.A./ B.S. requiredCurrent licensure as a Registered Nurse with the Board of Registered Nurses of the State of California requiredActive BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred3 years proven experience in implementing successful patient and physician satisfaction initiatives in clinical work environment1-3 years of progressive hospital/ nursing management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience requiredEvidence of experience which defines competency in Medical unit, hospital and healthcare managementAbility to manage department employee and labor relations/ Human Resource related issuesGood Samaritan Hospital has been serving Silicon Valley since 1965, giving patients access to highly-trained physicians and advanced technology.
