Location: Wayne, MI (Fully Onsite)
Pay Rate: $31.96/hour
Put your manufacturing engineering expertise to work in a fast-paced automotive environment. We're seeking an experienced Simulation Engineer to support Final Assembly manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement, and strengthen safety, quality, productivity, and throughput.
Job Duties:
Support Manufacturing Process Engineering for Final Assembly, including Trim and Chassis operations.
Analyze manufacturing processes and implement improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and throughput.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for assembly and quality concerns.
Conduct process audits and ergonomic evaluations.
Develop process documentation, work instructions, and quality procedures.
Identify production constraints and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support Lean Manufacturing, variability reduction, ISO 14001, and environmental compliance.
Analyze vehicle inventory issues and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
5+ years of related manufacturing or process engineering experience.
Strong Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Process validation and paint manufacturing experience.
Green Belt training and UAW environment experience.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 8D, 5 Why, 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, Kaizen, FMEA, PPAP, DOE, DMAIC, and Value Stream Mapping preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
