DescriptionPosition Summary Local Specific Summary: VITEK Reveal Systems Engineer - the primary responsibilities for this position will include performing root cause investigations of potential product design failures, performing system verification activities including the creation of plans, protocols, test cases, test case execution, and summary reporting, and acting as a product subject matter expert assisting with the maintenance of requirements, performing system impact assessments of proposed changes, assessing design with reliability consulting, contributing to product risk analysis, contributing to the transfer of product knowledge to other departments as needed, providing input to customer facing service documentation, along with additional system engineering tasks.Primary Duties:System Verification test execution in compliance with bioMerieux proceduresCreate System Verification Plans, Protocols, Test Cases, Test Runs, and summarize the testing results including a trace matrix in compliance with bioMerieux proceduresPerform root cause complaint investigationsAssist with feasibility and reliability testingTransfer product knowledge as neededContribute to product risk evaluations as neededPerform/Support impact assessments for proposed design changes as neededProvide input to customer facing and service documentation as neededReview/approve customer facing and/or service documentation as neededLead anomaly assessments as neededLead and analyze and change request prioritization evaluations as neededLead anomaly assessments as neededPerform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standardsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications Required Education, Training and Experience:Bachelor's degree required in Biomedical or engineering field2 years of designing/testing complex mechanical systemsPreferred Education, Training and Experience:Medical device experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Consistently upholds and reflects the core ethical principles and values that bioMerieux promotesEffective verbal communication skillsWritten Communications - including the ability to communicate technical data in written formTechnical learning aptitude to quickly understand and acquire new technical knowledge and skillsFlexibility, being highly adaptable and resilient to thrive in a dynamic work environmentThriving in a fast-paced environment by managing tasks, multitasking, and adapting quickly to maintain productivityBasic demonstrates fundamental awareness and can perform routine tasks with guidanceSkilled in MS Office tools to include but not limited t Outlook, Teams, Word, and ExcelWorking Conditions Ability to remain in stationary position, either sitting or standing, for prolonged periods: YesAbility to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like: YesAbility to wear PPE correctly most of the day: YesAbility to operate heavy machinery: NoAbility to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions: YesInternational travel required: 5-10% of timeOther physical requirements: Typical Office SettingThe estimated salary range for this role is between $85,000 and $112,500. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
