Supervisory Contracts Program Support Specialist
Job TitleThis supervisory position oversees the procurement and implementation of intricate contracting solutions, builds and maintains relationships with industry vendors, and supports the acquisition of new and emerging technologies. The selectee provides senior-level guidance on procurement activities and leads key acquisition efforts that help the organization meet its mission and deliver effective technology solutions. The selectee will report to an assigned DOL office location on a regular basis and be eligible for telework as determined by agency policy. This is not a remote position. Advertised salary reflects the minimum and maximum pay for the above locations. Upon selection, the salary will be set in accordance with the selectee's assigned duty location.
Major Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:Provide management support for the IT acquisitions program including the development of acquisition standards and processes.
Manage the daily operations of a team dedicated to acquisition of managing and closing out contracts for an organization.
Delegate and approve subordinates' work.
Counsel employees and selects candidates for vacancies.
Provide advice and assistance concerning IT contracts, hardware and software purchases, maintenance agreements and labor hour vehicles.
Develop budgets for supplies including equipment, maintenance, personnel, facilities, in-service training, travel, and service contracts.
Provide oversight and approval of acquisition plans to support procurements.
Provide input to acquisition plans including the facilitation of requirement identification, integration and documentation.
Provide timely, policy-grounded explanations to program offices, CORs, and acquisition staff.
Oversee team responses to escalated questions.
