Speech Language Pathologist

Southern Oregon Education Service District (SOESD) Speech-Language Program is hiring an SLP who shares an enthusiasm about speech-language development in all learners. The SOESD offers speech-language services within our programs and to our 11 component school districts in Jackson and Josephine Counties, in beautiful southern Oregon. Our SLPs provide direct and consultative services to school-age students, from kindergarten through age 21. SOESD SLPs collaborate with school district teams to develop assessment plans, provide speech-language assessments, offer hearing screenings, develop IEP goals, participate in eligibility determinations, track student progress, and offer individual and small group speech-language services. The students we serve include those with a range of voice, fluency, articulation, and expressive and receptive language needs who may also qualify for special education services across disability categories and/or be bilingual. Services may follow the pull-out model or be offered within a resource or site-based classroom in area schools. Some students are served in a day treatment or residential mental health setting. Our team of SLPs and SLPAs meets throughout the school year to share their skills and expertise and to collaborate on strategies that support students. A professional library of the most current editions of assessment tools and professional development workshops/trainings to advance skills and knowledge is available. SOESD offers opportunities for professional development to assist SLPs with their CEUs. Consider applying to be a part of our dedicated team of professionals!
