Construction ManagerThis client is seeking an experienced Construction Manager with expertise in managing major capital projects. This role involves overseeing large-scale construction endeavors to meet financial and growth objectives while adhering to complex client requirements. The successful candidate will manage projects through subordinate managers and professionals, providing strategic insights and guiding budget development. A commitment to implementing best practices for efficiency and productivity is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring compliance with financial, safety, and performance standards.Introduce and uphold best-practice construction methods to enhance site efficiency and productivity.Offer strategic input for decision-making processes affecting the division and contribute to budget development.Ensure acquisition and maintenance of necessary permits, licenses, and certifications and enforce safety protocols for a "Zero-Harm" environment.Develop and implement standardized quality and performance procedures across field operations.Oversee procurement processes and manage subcontractor performance to uphold quality and safety standards.Build and lead a capable team, fostering a high-performance culture through effective management of subordinate leaders.Serve as the primary contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory officials, providing comprehensive progress reports and updates.Address and resolve complex operational issues requiring cross-departmental coordination.QualificationsBachelor's degree.At least 10 years of experience in heavy industrial construction, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.Expertise in industrial piping systems and major mechanical installations.Proven ability to manage complex groups and influence strategic decisions.Advanced skills in project management and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and Procore.Work Environment and Physical DemandsRequires consistent on-site presence at major capital projects to lead services and manage field employees.Exposure to outdoor weather, high-decibel environments, and work at heights is expected.
