Data and Reporting Engineer

The Data and Reporting Engineer (DRE) is an integral part of the Technical Services & Support team. The DRE will work with the Database Engineers to maintain database objects including tables, functions, stored procedures, views, triggers and packages. In addition, the DRE will assist with developing and maintaining custom client reports. The DRE will assist with Professional Services projects and handle Tier 2 support tickets from internal Ren teams. They will be trained on Ren systems, platforms, database needs and internal processes in the onboarding process.Duties & Responsibilities: Review, document, analyze, troubleshoot and resolve customer’s data related issues.Advanced PL/SQL queries, scripts, stored procedures, materialized views, and viewsDesign, develop and maintain reports using Crystal reports and other tools.Respond to requests within expected SLA timeframes.Work closely with the software engineering teams to close data related defects in the software.Developing new strategies and building internal processes that help make your support team's work easier.Creating documentation and materials to help educate both your customers and fellow team members on data related aspects of the product.Follow best practices and guidance around troubleshooting procedures and corresponding runbooks.Provide knowledge base and help artifacts that increase customer self-service options.Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in software development, computer science, business intelligence, data management, or other related fields1-3 years experience with SQL procedures and advanced queriesExperience with Oracle PL/SQL highly preferredStrong communication skillsFinancial Services experience preferredExperience with business intelligence tools, specifically Metabase and Crystal Reports, is a plusCloud data warehouse experience is a plus, Snowflake is preferred
