Position: OFFSHORE Data Migration FI/AR FunctionalLocation: OffshoreDuration: 304 HoursDescriptionRole OverviewWe are seeking an OFFSHORE Finance Data Migration Functional Expert with deep Accounts Receivable (AR) expertise to support an ECC to SAP S/4HANA on-premise migration program. The resource will serve as the functional owner of the AR data migration workstream, responsible for defining migration requirements (FSD), validating field mapping specifications, supporting data cleansing and reconciliation activities, and coordinating across technical and business stakeholder groups to ensure a high-quality, auditable data migration outcome.This role requires a practitioner who is equally comfortable working within functional design activities and engaging directly with SAP technical teams on migration tool configuration, BAPI-based loading strategies, and data quality validation.Some weekend work may be required.________________________________________Key ResponsibilitiesMigration Design & Specification Author and maintain the Functional Specification Document (FSD) for the Accounts Payable migration object, including source-to-target field mapping, transformation rules, cleansing rules, and exclusion criteria Define the AR data migration scope in alignment with the broader financial data load sequence, including dependencies on Customer/Vendor Master (Business Partner), Chart of Accounts, and GL open items Validate that all mandatory and conditionally required fields for AR open item posting are mapped correctly for the SAP S/4HANA target environment Document pre-migration data cleansing requirements and coordinate with the customer business team to drive resolutionTooling & Technical Collaboration Work closely with the Custom ABAP/BAPI development team to specify posting logic where standard migration objects are insufficient, including interface definition for BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST or equivalent AR-specific BAPIs Support unit testing, mock load, and dress rehearsal execution cycles, providing functional validation of posted AR documents in the S/4HANA systemStakeholder Coordination Act as the primary functional interface between the SAP technical migration team, the customer Finance/AR business team, the customer IT organisation, and the 3rd party System Integrator (SI) design team Participate in data migration governance forums, reporting on AR object status, open issues, data quality metrics, and migration readiness against project milestones Facilitate data extraction sign-off with the customer business team, ensuring source data from ECC is agreed, extracted, and frozen prior to each test cycle Manage and track AR-specific open action items through to resolution, escalating blockers to the migration workstream lead as required
