ParalegalSouthfield, MI (On-Site)About the RoleOur client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal (Litigation and/or Pre-Litigation) to support their personal injury practice. This role is critical to ensuring cases are properly developed, clients are supported, and files are moved efficiently from intake through settlement or litigation readiness.This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, is highly organized, and can manage multiple cases while maintaining strong client communication.Key ResponsibilitiesCase ManagementManage a caseload of pre-litigation personal injury files from intake through settlement or litigation referralMaintain accurate and organized case files within the firm’s case management system (e.g., Litify, Filevine, Salesforce, etc.)Track case progress, deadlines, and required documentationClient CommunicationServe as a primary point of contact for clientsProvide updates, request documentation, and ensure a positive client experienceHandle client inquiries with professionalism and urgencyMedical Records & DocumentationRequest, review, and organize medical records and billing statementsTrack treatment progress and follow up with providers as neededSummarize medical records for attorney reviewDemand PreparationAssist in preparing and submitting demand packagesCompile supporting documentation, including medical records, bills, wage loss, and liability evidenceEnsure accuracy and completeness of all demand materialsInsurance & Claims CoordinationCommunicate with insurance adjusters regarding claims statusSubmit documentation and respond to requests for additional informationTrack claim activity and settlement negotiationsAdministrative SupportMaintain case notes and update CRM/case management systemsAssist attorneys with case preparation and strategy supportEnsure all deadlines and compliance requirements are metQualifications2+ years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal SecretaryStrong knowledge of personal injury case flow and processesExperience working with medical records and demand preparationFamiliarity with case management systems (Litify, Filevine, Needles, Salesforce, or similar)Excellent organizational and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage a high-volume caseload independentlyPreferred ExperienceFamiliarity with Michigan personal injury processesExperience coordinating with medical providers and insurance adjustersWhat Success Looks LikeCases are organized, updated, and progressing efficientlyClients receive timely communication and supportMedical records and documentation are accurate and completeDemand packages are prepared thoroughly and on timeAttorneys are well-supported and cases are positioned for strong outcomes
