Part Time Retail Associate

DescriptionRetail AssociateJob DescriptionThe New York Athletic Club is looking for a sales professional to assist customers in our retail store. In this role, the retail sales associate will guide customers through the shopping process, from initial greeting to final purchase. Providing insights and support, the sales associate will help strengthen our customer relationships and convert new patrons into repeat shoppers. The ideal candidate for this role will have a knack for engaging customers and resolving their concerns. The retail sales associate should be passionate about people and eager to develop new customer-service skills.Objectives of this roleDeliver exceptional service to shoppers that results in repeat visits and long-term brand loyaltyCollaborate with coworkers to provide an exceptional store experienceInform patrons about product features and benefits, offering opinions and recommendations when appropriateMaintain a tidy shopping environment and welcoming atmosphereRepresent the Club with professionalism and enthusiasmTreat all customers with respect and courtesyResponsibilitiesGreeting customers as they enter the store and offering assistanceAddressing customer questions and concernsProvide customers with detailed product information and recommendationsTotaling purchases and processing account charges, and credit card payments.Processing exchanges, returns, and refunds according to company policies.Restock and organize merchandise on the sales floorResolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional mannerMaintain a clean and organized retail environmentOpening and closing of the store and following all policies and proceduresRequirementsRequired skills and qualificationsExcellent verbal communication skillsCompetent math skills, including an ability to make change accuratelyFriendly, professional demeanorAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentComply with New York Athletic Club dress codePreferred skills and qualificationsExperience in retail sales or customer serviceFamiliarity with point-of-sale (POS) systemsExperience working in a team-oriented environmentHigh School Diploma / GEDAvailable to work Weekends and HolidaysAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periodsPrevious experience as "Key-holder"
