You will work on high-impact systems, enabling development teams through improved CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and observability.If you enjoy building foundational technology, influencing architecture, and working with automation, cloud infrastructure, reliability, and developer productivity—while seeing your work power large-scale applications—this role offers endless opportunity for impact.What you'll get to doDesign, build, and evolve cloud-native platform components and infrastructure in a SaaS enterprise environmentDevelop and maintain scalable, resilient systems including microservices, APIs, databases, and distributed systemsBuild and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and secure software deliveryAutomate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM, Bicep)Implement and manage containerized workloads using Docker and orchestration platforms such as KubernetesImprove system performance, scalability, reliability, and observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting solutionsContribute across the full development lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and supportCollaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline deployment processes and enhance developer experienceTroubleshoot and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environmentsEnsure security, compliance, and best practices across platform architecture, infrastructure, and delivery pipelinesParticipate in architecture discussions, influencing technical direction, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimizationEstimate effort, assess risk, and evaluate system impact for new features and platform changesContribute to code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the teamTake ownership of initiatives and drive them through to successful delivery and continuous improvementParticipate in on-call rotations and incident response, supporting production systems as neededSkills and experience we value3+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, or platform engineeringStrong programming skills in C#, .NET, or similar backend technologiesHands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similarExperience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and cloud-native servicesProficiency with containerization (Docker) and familiarity with orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus)Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or similar)Solid understanding of distributed systems, networking, and system designExperience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Application Insights)Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across application and infrastructure layersFamiliarity with security best practices in cloud and DevOps environmentsExcellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skillsLeveraging AI-assisted development tools in daily workflowsWhat would make you really stand outExperience building and maintaining internal frameworks, shared libraries, or developer platforms, including self-service toolingStrong focus on writing secure, accessible, scalable, reusable, and globally ready codeExperience working in a large-scale SaaS enterprise environment with cross-functional teamsFamiliarity with microservices architecture and API managementUnderstanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets)What's in it for youDayforce is fueled by the diversity of our talented employees.
