Software Engineer
Location: San Francisco (in-office, early-stage environment) Compensation: $190K–$250K base + 0.5%–3% equity Work Authorization: Must be a US citizen, or Green card resident About the Company They are an early-stage, venture-backed startup building AI-native software that transforms how service-based businesses operate and interact with customers. The platform leverages modern AI agents, voice interfaces, and automation systems to streamline workflows, handle real-time interactions, and unlock operational insights. They've launched with early customers and are now building their core founding engineering team. The Role We're hiring a Founding Engineer with 5–6+ years of experience who wants to build AI-native products from zero to one. You'll work across the stack, owning everything from agent logic and backend systems to frontend product experiences. This is a high-autonomy role where you'll directly shape architecture, product direction, and engineering culture. You'll be deep in code every day. What You'll Build AI agents powered by LLMs Real-time voice and chat interaction systems Backend services in Python React / Next.js / TypeScript frontend experiences Data pipelines and agent orchestration logic Cloud infrastructure and deployment systems (AWS or similar) Product workflows that integrate with external systems Core Requirements 5–6+ years of professional experience building web applications Strong frontend experience with React and TypeScript Strong backend experience in Python Experience building or integrating AI agents, LLM systems, or automation workflows Comfort working across APIs, asynchronous systems, and production infrastructure Experience operating in early-stage or high-ownership environments Nice to Have Experience with agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, etc.) Experience building voice-based or conversational systems Background in AI-native startups Compensation Base: $190K–$250K Equity: 0.5%–3% Compensation depends on scope, experience, and ownership level. #J-18808-Ljbffr
